Things to do in Museum & Kanakakunnu

Nothing is listed for in museum & kanakakunnu yet โ€” new events are added every morning, so check back soon.

The Museum compound and the hilltop Kanakakunnu Palace next to it form the city's main cultural ground. Napier Museum, an 1880 Indo-Saracenic building by Robert Chisholm, shares its gardens with the zoo and the Sree Chitra Art Gallery, and the paths around the bandstand are the city's favourite walking loop. Kanakakunnu's lawns and the open-air Nishagandhi Auditorium host the Nishagandhi Dance Festival, the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters, Onam week stages, flower shows and food fairs, and Nishagandhi doubles as the open-air screen for IFFK. Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan, the state's cultural complex at Nalanda Junction, is a short walk north.
