Things to do in Sreekaryam

Sreekaryam is the campus suburb between Ulloor and Kazhakkoottam on the old national highway. The College of Engineering Trivandrum, the first engineering college in Kerala, is here, and its student-run technical and cultural festivals bring hackathons, robotics contests, band nights and pro-shows that are open to outside students. Loyola College of Social Sciences runs its own fests and lecture series. Chempazhanthy, the birthplace of Sree Narayana Guru, is a short ride east and draws visitors around his birth anniversary and during the Sivagiri pilgrimage season. Most venues here are campuses, so check whether an event needs a college ID or prior registration.
