Nightlife & Parties in Trivandrum

Trivandrum is an early city, and its nightlife works within Kerala's rules: bar counters close at midnight (five-star hotel bars may run later under rules notified in February 2026) and the first of every month is a dry day. Within those limits, the going-out options are the bars and lounges of the five-star hotels in the city and along the bypass, a few pubs and restaurant bars near Technopark and Kazhakkoottam that run DJ, karaoke and screening nights for the IT crowd, and ticketed parties in hotel ballrooms on festival weekends. The beaches are the real night out. From November to March, restaurants and bars at Kovalam and along Varkala's North Cliff host live music, fire shows and beach parties, peaking on New Year's Eve.
