Things to do in Vazhuthacaud & Thycaud

Vazhuthacaud and neighbouring Thycaud hold more stages per street than any other part of the city. Tagore Theatre, the government auditorium on the Vellayambalam road, is IFFK's main venue and the first stop for touring plays, dance productions and state award nights. The film corporation's Kalabhavan theatre screens festival films, Alliance Française de Trivandrum runs French classes, screenings and exhibitions, and Hyatt Regency Trivandrum handles conferences and ticketed parties. In Thycaud, Bharat Bhavan, the state's cultural exchange centre, programmes music, theatre and folk arts through the year. Most of it is within 2 km of the railway station.
