Nothing is listed for coming up yet — new events are added every morning, so check back soon.
Trivandrum is the home of Kerala's film institutions, and its film calendar reflects that. The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy runs the International Film Festival of Kerala here every December; the 31st edition is scheduled for 11 to 18 December 2026, with more than 10,000 delegates moving between Tagore Theatre, the Kairali, Sree and Nila screens, Kalabhavan, Nishagandhi and the cinemas of Thampanoor. The academy's documentary and short film festival, IDSFFK, is also held in the city. Between festivals, film societies screen world cinema, Bharat Bhavan has a Friday film screening, Alliance Française shows French films with subtitles, and the Soorya Festival includes a film segment. Lulu Mall has the state's first IMAX screen. This page lists festival screenings, film-society shows, premieres and filmmaker talks in Thiruvananthapuram.
