Expos, Trade Fairs & Exhibitions in Trivandrum

Exhibitions in Trivandrum are spread across a few well-used grounds and halls. Putharikandam Maidanam, next to the East Fort bus stand, hosts the big consumer and trade fairs, with the heaviest crowds before Onam. Ayyankali Hall in Palayam, the old VJT Hall, takes handloom, khadi, craft and book exhibitions that run for a week or two, and Kanakakunnu Palace hosts flower shows, craft melas and government expos on its lawns. Education and career fairs, property shows, wedding expos and auto exhibitions use Girideepam Convention Centre at Nalanchira, Al Saj Arena at Kazhakkoottam, Jimmy George Indoor Stadium and hotel ballrooms. The Kerala Legislature International Book Festival, held in the Assembly complex in January, is the largest book fair.
