About The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel
The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel, sits on the rocky headland between Kovalam's beaches, about 25 minutes from the airport. The cliff-top property grew out of the Kovalam beach resort that Charles Correa designed for the India Tourism Development Corporation in the 1970s, and its terraces step down the hillside towards the sea. It is the district's best-known address for destination weddings and for conferences: technology and startup summits, medical congresses and corporate offsites regularly book its convention spaces and lawns. For the public, the draw is ticketed New Year's Eve galas, Christmas and Onam feasts, sunset dining and occasional live-music evenings.
