About Priyadarsini Planetarium & Science Museum
The Kerala State Science and Technology Museum at PMG Junction is an autonomous institution set up by the state government in 1984 to build interest in science among young people, and the Priyadarsini Planetarium attached to it has been running sky shows since 1994. The galleries cover electricity, mechanics, electronics, space and popular science with working models, and the campus adds an outdoor science park and special-format film shows. The museum runs astronomy nights, telescope viewings for eclipses and planetary events, quiz contests, summer and holiday camps and school science fairs, which makes it the city's most dependable outing for children.
