About Kerala Legislature Complex

The Kerala Legislature Complex at Palayam houses the state assembly and, since 2023, one of the city's biggest public events: the Kerala Legislature International Book Festival (KLIBF), organised by the Legislative Assembly on its own grounds. The third edition, from 8 to 13 January 2025, had 166 publishers in nearly 266 stalls and drew about three lakh visitors. The fourth ran from 7 to 13 January 2026 with more than 200 publishers expected. Entry is free, and the week includes author talks, panel discussions, book releases, a students' corner and cultural evenings in the complex's halls. Dates for a 2027 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.
